About
How old are you and when did you get interested in music?
I am 20 years old, and I have been playing music since I was 8. However, I did'nt really get into classical music till about a year and a half ago, so I am still learning!
What are you studying, and what are your goals.
I am currently studying RCO exams, before hopefully applying for university or an Organ Scholarship. I would particularly like to work with church music. I think the traditional forms and styles, of church music that have stood the test of time should be retained, and I would like to see new traditional church music propagated.
Was the organ your instrument from the start, or did you discover it later on?
I have always loved the organ and organ music. Apparently, before I was born, I used to be quite active, but when the organ started to play in Church, I would go very quiet!
What sort of music do you prefer to perform.
'Classical'. I think Baroque music, is very important, particularly that of Bach and Buxtehude, but also Renaissance music tends to be a bit forgotten. British music, especially from that period should be better known.
